Heaven (Affective Recursive) 2007
Heaven (Affective Recursive) inverts the performance and everyday corporealities – instead of controlling, choreographing their bodies or making them express something, performers focus on their body sensibility, discussing how it affects what they feel, perceive, think and do. Through this affective sensibility they explore in real time the situation in which they are – in front of an audience, in a performance. The work includes its own reflection upon the work, which becomes the work, that is then again reflected upon. This self-referential paradoxical loop, together with the induced hypersensibility, can change the affective atmosphere, sometimes leading to a high state (therefore the name of the project).
